November 3rd, 2015

This morning we started our day with math.  Students were placed into groups where they had an option to write about math, play a math game, complete a math problem using a Frayer Model, etc. and then rotate after 20 minutes. Please see below with an exciting "Firehouse" math problem.

After math we continued drawing in our visual journals about our story setting map, using either the raccoon or bear pictures.  Please watch Morgan talking about the description of the project.

During music class I snuck into the class to listen to the students sing the song "Do the Good you Know".  Boy.... they were fabulous!!!

After lunch we continued with our Remembrance Day inquiry where students watched the following video.

As well Ms. Handlesman read the book The Enemy by David Cali and Serge Bloch.  While listening to the video and story students wrote down many relevant and interesting words in which they will be able to use for their upcoming poetry project.

Towards the end of the day, students continued to work on their Global Art Exchange artwork.  Please ask your child to explain the process and where their artwork will be going.

Notes:
1) Your child's Original Art Work piece is due tomorrow
2) Students are required to finish their homework on the kidblog from Monday's blog
3) Scholastic book orders are due Monday

Have yourself a great evening.
